The Project

I-Witness is a platform by the Pan-African Movement for Justice (PAMJ) with the aim of collecting testimonies about racist violence and discrimination.

Since 2014, AFR has worked against racism in society with a focus on Afrophobia and the rights of Afro-Swedes. Afro-Swedes are among the most vulnerable groups in society, but our experiences often remain invisible and underreported.

This is why we want to hear about your experiences so that we can get a better understanding of Afrophobia and other forms of racism in Sweden.

Our goals are:

  1. To collect data about experiences of racism, violence and discrimination,

  2. To provide those affected with resources for support,

  3. To use the information gathered to better advocate for Afro-Swedes and other racialized groups in Sweden

This project is also a part of our Stop Afrophobia initiative.
